Rainforest in Central Africa and Congo Basin is a broad field of various
tropical plants and animals, which once covered most of equatorial
Africa. But now greatly reduced commercial logging and agriculture
remains the region home to many unique species of flora and fauna, many
of which are under protection and threats. In 2000 I became a part of
the largest remaining forest is protected as a reserve to try to stop
the unprecedented level of deforestation in the surrounding regions.
Accommodation in Africa
First Central Africa Nha second largest area of tropical forest on the planet, an area of approximately 540,000 square kilometers (870,000 square kilometers). Most often encountered in Equateur province in the central and western Africa, tropical forest covers parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, and from time to time occur in Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea and the island of Madagascar.
Animals
Another African tropical forest is home to many unique animals, including Aardvark, Bonobo (pygmy chimpanzees), common chimpanzees and gorillas, and Duiker, Forest Bongo antelope and antelope. Wildlife changes over relatively small areas of forest, four-mile patch can save hundreds of birds, butterflies and amphibians. Many of them are not found elsewhere, making the African tropical forests are very important to preserve the environment. Pygmy hippopotamus, which makes its home only in Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast River Gangs are classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, who believe that the remaining number from 3000
Herbs
Third is estimated that 8,000 plant species found in African tropical forests, ranking second after South Africa's Cape Floristic Region in terms of diversity. Only about 10 percent of tropical forest plant species formally defined, for example, that region is of great scientific interest. Famous African rainforest plants including palm oil, which is valued for its specialized oil, mahogany and African experience only found in central Africa, which accounts for 90 percent of the trees to enter the timber in the region.
Climate
Fourth African tropical forests are known for its unique deaths and seasonality in the Amazon, and other south Asian tropical climate. Most plants are believed to exist near the climatic limits of what is considered forest trees. In his characteristic dry weather, slightly sloping trees in the Congo Basin, in general, deciduousness when water levels fall in certain trees, trees and near the surface will remain evergreen. Sometimes seasonal loss of leaves makes the African tropical forests are unique in this respect.
Threats to fauna and flora
The Fifth Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, commercial only about 20 percent of tropical forests in Africa and beyond, mainly due to logging and farming. Between 1980 and 2005, Africa, the high deforestation of forests and the area has lost about 80 percent of the total forest cover. As a result, felt areas such as Mali and Niger, and a greater degree of drought and soil erosion. Reduction and in some cases completely disappearing forest has led to the destruction of many native plants and removal of animal habitats. The island of Madagascar, which once dominated the tropical forests, largely lost valuable plants and animals indigenous deforestation. The remaining area of Africa's largest tropical forest in the Congo Basin was protected in 1999 on the formation of the Sangha Tri-national park that covers a portion
